Greetings Fairfax County Friends!
Please join parents tonight at the STOP THE CORRUPTION rally to demand FCPS remove equity from all policies and demand they return to academic excellence!
Meet in front of Luther Jackson Middle School at 5:30pm! Details are on the attached flyer.
Did you know where the word "equity" came from?
The term "equity" was created in a study funded by the Ford, Soros and Kellogg foundations with the goal to manipulate language to "garner support for progressive policy". If you want to know exactly how this happened, read Chapter 14 of Luke Rosiak's book Race to the Bottom.
The One Fairfax policy is a Trojan Horse that has pushed equity into every area of our local government, including engineering and facility management! See my 2 minute public comment video for the Capital Improvement Policy hearing tonight.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) History and Cost
In 2014 the role of school counselors was redefined. The role changed from a “guidance” counselor (reactive services) to a “school” counselor (proactive). A guidance counselor traditionally provided service to students who needed it, however, under the new termschool counselors are required to service all students.
School counselors use data collected through various means, including Universal Screeners, as a way to inform their decision-making. Through this initiative, Universities worked to recruit “social justice advocates” and “change agents” for their counseling programs.
$2.4 Million to Panoramic Education for a SEL Screener .
$9.2 Million for attorneys to fight parents. A legal audit showed FCPS paid 206% more than budgeted between July 2021 and December 2022 to fight parents over equity policies.
$455K for Equity Centered Strategic Planning
Moms for Liberty-Fairfax County is a grass roots organization with the mission to fight for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government. We are not connected or funded by the national organization, so please spread the word to friends and neighbors.
E-mail directly if you would like to volunteer for one of our many vacant roles needed to succeed here in Fairfax County.
With gratitude and optimism,
Shelly Arnoldi
