Greetings Fairfax Friends,

Now's your chance to speak up and defend parental rights in person.
We can't let the Soros funded LGBTQ and “transgender” activists be the only voice at the next Virginia Board of Education Meeting in two days (July 27th).
We need you to show your support for the Department of Education’s finalized version of the 2023 Model Policies on the Privacy, Dignity, and Respect for All Students and Parents in Virginia’s Public Schools.
The LGBTQ activists are planning coordinated efforts in opposition to Governor Youngkin’s Department of Education’s finalized version of the 2023 Model Policies, which restores parental rights and prohibits schools from hiding information from parents.
These LGBTQ activists plan to pack the room and make public comments at the next State Board of Education meeting this Thursday, July 27th, to make a public spectacle in protest of the significantly improved policies.
The 2023 revised model policies provide better guidance to Virginia school boards about “transgender” issues that is more in alignment with statutory provisions and legal precedence affirming parental rights.
You can find more detailed resources on our Protect Every Kid website.
If you are in the central VA area, please make every effort to attend this very important Virginia Board of Education meeting to show your support for the revised model policies and encourage the board to respect the primacy of parental rights regarding the education and upbringing of their children in other areas under their authority.
Here's what you can do:
Arrive by 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the James Monroe Building, 101 N. 14th Street, Richmond, VA 23219, and check-in at the security desk. You can also pick up your Protect Every Kid sign and sticker.
Be prepared to enter the board meeting room between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. in order to try to get a seat (meeting starts at 9:00 a.m.) and demonstrate visual support.
Provide public testimony in support of the revised “2023 Model Policies” that make clear parents have the fundamental right to direct the health, education, and upbringing of their child – free from government intrusion.
In order to officially sign up to speak, click HERE. There is also the possibility of signing up to speak the day of the meeting, but there is no guarantee you will get to speak if you wait.
To help you prepare public comments download Protect Every Kid “speak up” tools, including a downloadable flyer with speaking tips; more detailed Conversation Tips; and a comparison chart between the old and revised policies.
Continue to spread the word that parents' rights don't end in the public school parking lot!
